Merry first

Esther 5:4 KJV
And Esther answered, If it seem good unto the king, let the king and Haman come this day unto the banquet that I have prepared for him.

Following the kind of heavy problem that drove Esther barging into the presence of the king,  I would have expected that when she was asked what her request was she would immediately state that her whole clan was about to be wiped away but no she didn't

She said,  oh king I have come here to invite you to a banquet so that you can be merry,  Infact bring Hamman your right hand man

Two lessons learnt

1. Love your enemy....  Esther still cooked for hamman and remember too that she didn't add food poison...  Feed your enemies until your God hangs them.

2. When you go before God our king,  don't put your problem first, put his food (praises)  first. Feed him praise until He is satisfied and merry then place your request,  that's how to make your enemies die in your place...  That's how to get anything at all from God...

The psalmist had the right idea when he said I will enter his gate with Thanksgiving and his court with praise.
