Yesterday we discussed about not obtaining wealth the way the people of the world obtain it , and also not to share in what has been plundered from the sweat of other hardworking men.
Today we will continue in the same light and we will admonish us not to follow bad trends that are set down in the industries we work in or the societies we live in.
Daniel 3:15 KJV
Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well : but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?
In the verse above Nebuchadnezzar set up an idol and the worship of that idol was trending
Everyone was bowing down but the three Hebrew boys did not
Now I don't know what is universally accepted in your own time
I don't know those conventional methods of making money that are regarded as usual in your world but are unacceptable to God
I don't know the common dressing methods that your contemporary world allows but are disallowed by God
But my advice to you is that you desist from following ungodly trends or just doing things because others are doing it
Even if mum allows it, even if bae allows it, even if every one is doing it , so long as God doesn't love it, you must not do it.
I need nothing mention that so many of what trends today are what the scripture describes as ways that seem right to men but end in destruction.
Stand out, speak life.
